چکیده

Abstract Grapes are used worldwide and rich in polyphenols, such as anthocyanins stilbene compounds. Wild grapes contain abundant compounds, which beneficial to humans. This study examined the polyphenol content gene expression involved skin coloration ripening stage of Ampelopsis spp. Accession compared ‘VC-1’ ( Vitis coignetiae ) ‘Super Hamburg’ V. labruscana ). The flavonoid was generally higher fruit than other grape lines, highest among accessions found ‘YG10075’ at 9.67 mg quercetin equivalent (QE) per g fresh weight. anthocyanin 1.2% (w/w), accession with ‘YG10062’ 0.27%. resveratrol 70.4 μg/g, 48.5 μg/g. Expression levels genes color development increased during maturation Hamburg’, but decreased ‘YG10042’, ‘YG10075’, ‘YG10062’. related compound synthesis, coloration, reactive oxygen species (ROS) high leaves ‘YG10045’, young berries ripe ‘YG-Songni4’. showed different patterns depending on , organ, stage. Our results indicate that ‘YG-Songni4’ is most valuable synthesis stilbenic compounds throughout all organs. could be a useful genetic resource breeding programs.

Sphingolipid Distribution, Content and Gene Expression during Olive-Fruit Development and Ripening

Plant sphingolipids are involved in the building of the matrix of cell membranes and in signaling pathways of physiological processes and environmental responses. However, information regarding their role in fruit development and ripening, a plant-specific process, is unknown. The present study seeks to determine whether and, if so, how sphingolipids are involved in fleshy-fruit development and...

An Evaluation of the Phytochemical Properties of SomePomegranate Cultivars during Fruit Development and Ripening

The pomegranate fruit is a good source of bioactive compounds. The present study has investigated the biochemical and sensory characteristics of the arils of four Iranian commercial pomegranate cultivars namely Malase Shirine Saveh (MSS), Malase Torshe Saveh (MTS), Alak Shirine Saveh (ASS) and Agha Mohammad Ali (AMA) for several developmental and ripening stages during 45–180 days after fruit s...

Changes in Gene Expression during Tomato Fruit Ripening.

Total proteins from pericarp tissue of different chronological ages from normally ripening tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. cv Rutgers) fruits and from fruits of the isogenic ripening-impaired mutants rin, nor, and Nr were extracted and separated by sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Analysis of the stained bands revealed increases in 5 polypeptides (94, 44, 34, 20, ...

Modification of Gene Expression in Ripening Fruit

Fruit ripening is a coordinated series of biochemical changes that renders the fruit attractive to eat. The fruit may soften, develop colour, change starch or acid into sugar, become flavoursome, produce more ethylene, increase in sensitivity to ethylene, and respire more rapidly. This syndrome is under contemporary genetic control as illustrated by mutants with fruit that develop normally but ...

Differential gene expression in ripening banana fruit.

During banana (Musa acuminata L.) fruit ripening ethylene production triggers a developmental cascade that is accompanied by a massive conversion of starch to sugars, an associated burst of respiratory activity, and an increase in protein synthesis. Differential screening of cDNA libraries representing banana pulp at ripening stages 1 and 3 has led to the isolation of 11 nonredundant groups of ...
